Purpose

Vision

We advance transformative leadership to address the world's most pressing challenges.

Mission

We foster a new generation of empowered, accountable, global leaders.

To guide them, we ground our approach in evidence-based research.

Together, we strive to create a future where leadership is driven by integrity and informed decision-making.

Our Story

Why Maryam?

The Maryam Forum Foundation is inspired by the remarkable legacy of Maryam, the mother of one of our co-founders, who exemplified intuitive, courageous and compassionate leadership despite lacking formal education.

Her name resonates across borders, religions, and generations, symbolizing our shared humanity.

Our founding story

The Maryam Forum Foundation was founded in 2020 in direct response to the failures and fragilities exposed over the preceding decades — from the 2008 financial crisis to rising inequality, polarization, outdated global governance, and accelerating climate risks.

These challenges underscored a critical need for more courageous, compassionate, and forward-looking leadership. As the UN launched its Decade of Action, we were driven to move from urgency to impact.

Through research, incubation, experiential learning, and innovative convening, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of leaders poised to effect meaningful change.

Leadership

At the core of our nonprofit strategy are founders with a significant track-record of global leadership roles across sectors, including business, investment, policy development, academia, and entrepreneurship.
